Life Analytics and LifeMeasure.com 0

Welcome back!

I have been thinking about a concept to take advantage of the current state of the semantic web, to aggregate anything in a person’s life that has analytics.

I imagine it being similar in concept to mint.com but expanded to measure every aspect of life. This info is taken from feeds, any other recordable viewing/searching/usage habits, and much more. It will be the mashup to end all mashup. The endgoal would be to use this data to show what makes you a happier person & what you can do to improve.. metrics and analytics for your life. Kind of like Personal Development to the max.

It will be called LifeMeasure.

Now to find some time for it!

My POS razr went totally out of commission so I decided to up the ante on mobile benjamin m brown. iPhone 3gs 16gb is a pretty wicked piece of technology. I can already tell its going to do a lot to streamline my time and increase productivity when on the road or away from my current setups at home & work.

Some Pretty Sweet jQuery plugins 0

I’m working on some more client-side & UI work lately as we try to increase the conversion rates on some of my primary client’s sites. I’ve come to really enjoy working with jQuery, as it is fairly easy to use, straightforward, and fairly lightweight.

Here are some jQuery tools I’ve been using:

HoverIntent

Waits for the user’s mouse movement to slow down before initiating hover scripts (user has to show intent on an item by ’stopping’ on it).

Kwicks

Very cool for customizable sliding content. I’m using it for unique image displays primarily.

Wish I had time to write more about them, maybe I will add some examples of them in action soon.
