I absolutely have to share with everyone this new wordpress plugin I found & am using heavily. Take this review as you will but I am really confident in this product as it has given me great results in a very short amount of time.
What Is Datafeedr?
Datafeedr is a web service & wordpress plugin combination that basically sets up an affiliate-linked store on your wordpress blog. It can also automatically create a blog post for each item with full product details, and ‘buy’ links (which are automatically set up as your affiliate links). Basically, it is a really useful autoblogging tool.
Why would anyone want this?
Well, if you do content-based affiliate marketing, or have ever desired to create low-overhead stores, this thing comes in really handy.
Easy is it to Set up?
If you can install a wordpress plugin, follow directions, and click on checkboxes, then you will have no problem installing & setting up this system. It takes a minute or two to figure out how to create the store on their site, but the time you save vs adding products to your site manually make is well worth any learning time on this front.
Is Datafeedr worth it?
I will let my results speak as to whether or not datafeedr is worth your time. Its up to you to make sure your affiliate store concept is going to be profitable. I’ve seen some REALLY dumb affilate store ideas that made me laugh out loud (facepalm too), so don’t shoot yourself in the foot and make sure you do your research on keywords & your market before you start using it.
Here’s how many of my site’s pages were indexed initially (showing in google’s search results). This is important because the more pages you can get indexed & ranking, the more traffic($$) you’ll be getting.
NOTE: To view the number of pages indexed, type -> site:yoursitename.com into the google search bar
Beginning pages indexed (August 20,2009):

I started datafeedr’s drip at about 3pm and saw indexed product posts (not the product pages in the ’store’, but the automated wordpress blog posts) within 6 hrs.
I have datafeedr’s drip setting to post every minute… I don’t have to worry about overpinging since I use MaxBlogPress’ Ping Optimizer. Why drip? Well, in addition to having the static little pages in the “store”, the datafeedr drip goes ahead and creates a blog post for EVERY SINGLE ITEM. I like this because the blog posts are designed to be a littel more “SEO” friendly… they seem to get indexed faster and rank better due to the structure and network that the blog CMS creates.
I have about 8000 items in this particular store instance… imaging posting all 8000 by hand. That would be thousands of hours on my own, or thousands of dollars worth of time even if I farm it out @ $5/hr (not likely to get that rate)
Update
So here’s what I got 36 Hrs later:

My drip has produced about 1,400 wordpress posts , and 500 of these new product posts are already indexed. Pretty amazing!
Bigger Update (2 mos later)

Site now has 5,490 indexed product pages. that’s 5,490 opportunities to generate highly targeted, high commercial intent traffic. So legit.
Drip Feed FTW
The drip feed feature of datafeedr is really what makes your site purr. You get a blog post every minute of a product from your store. It’s a ’smart’ drip feed, in that it only posts each product once then moves on so you never have to worry about duplicate content. It keeps your blog “fresh” in the eyes of the big G & other search engines. You can also set it to post at larger intervals, like once a day, if you want to pace it.
This feature alone makes datafeedr worth it for me.
Final Verdict on Datafeedr
I have to HIGHLY recommend this product. It works EXACTLY how I had imagined a product feed-based tool to work. Not only does it instantly create the store for you, but the drip & wordpress posting feature works perfectly (I only wish I could customize it a bit more, but I will be doing that with some backend coding on the plugin). Its also a pretty “safe” automated solution, as its going to be hard for my site to get tagged as spammy by google.
The price is only like $27/month (you’ll have to check their site to get any up-to-date pricing. In my case, I made sales coming directly through datafeedr-created pages within 35 hrs.. The plugin paid for its first month of operation in less than 48 hours. It has paid for itself 20x over so far in the first two months… pretty impressive ROI. It also opens up a ton of new concepts I am planning on implementing based on this feed technology.
I give this a 4.5 out of 5.. I bet it will be a 5/5 very soon as they add new features & customization options planned in their next versions
If you want to check it out go to datafeedr’s site. I highly recommend giving it a shot.. its pretty low risk with relatively high profit potential in the right hands.
